Pre-Alpin & Mazuri® Tortoise Food

Pre-Alpin & Mazuri® tortoise food advice page

Pre-Alpin Testudo Original, Herbs and Fibre

Pre-Alpin Testudo products include Original and Herb cobs made from pressed bavarian meadow grasses and with Herbs for the Herb variety. The pressed cobs must be rehydrated with water for 10-20 minutes before feeding them to your tortoises. Soak thoroughly and mash gently to ensure no hard lumps remain.

Pre-Alpin Testudo Fibre is unpressed bavarian meadow grasses and Herbs. Can be fed dry or partially rehydrated if your tortoises prefer. Particularly useful for species that need a drier environment such as dry grassland tortoises, such as Sulcata and Leopard tortoises and high-altitude species like Horsefield or desert species such as Egyptian and Pancake tortoises.

Pre-Alpin data sheet with full information and feeding recommendations provided with every order from our Shops on our Website Shop, eBay and Amazon.

Good source of grass nutrients and fibre all year round, particularly handy when fresh graze is not available. Grazing tortoises need plenty grass in their diet all year round so that they can digest other food efficiently (as well as constant access to basking, to provide plenty heat, UV light and calcium too).

Mazuri® Tortoise Diet and Mazuri® LS Tortoise Diet

Mazuri® Tortoise Diet is the variety that is suitable for Tropical tortoises. The LS (Low Starch) version is adapted for grass-eating tortoises with the largest ingredient Timothy Grass hay and probiotics added for digestive health for tortoises that need grass fermentation to digest efficiently.

Mazuri® data sheet with full information and feeding recommendations provided with every order from our Shops on our Website Shop, eBay and Amazon.
